About Us

Seattle Chinese Academy is a non-profit educational organization registered in the State of Washington. It strives to inspire and facilitate the learning of the Chinese language and culture, help prepare our children with bilingual skills for the demands and challenges of the global society, and promote cultural diversity in our community.

We currently offer classes of Chinese Martial Arts, Calligraphy, Adult Taiji as well as Chinese classes to teach modern Simplified Chinese for all ages and levels.

Chinese as a Heritage Language (CHL) for students who have a Mandarin Chinese speaking environment at home and who can understand basic spoken Chinese; Chinese As Second Language (CSL) for students who do NOT have a Mandarin Chinese speaking environment at home nor any Mandarin background; Preschooler Program for kids aged 2 and up on both Saturdays and weekdays; and Adult Chinese Courses. .

Chinese Martial Arts is for kids 4 and up and Chinese Calligraphy for kids 5 and up. Chinese Taiji is for adults only.

Classes run on Saturdays, 9:00am-3:50pm, for SCA 2005-2006 Spring Semester.
