Non-discrimination
Seattle Chinese Academy (SCA) is a nonprofit educational organization. It does not discriminate against anyone based on race, color, nationality or ethnic origin in its administrative, educational and admissions policies and programs.
School Calendar
The school runs under semester system with two semesters for each school year: the spring semester and the fall semester. Each school year has a total of 30 weeks.
Tuition and Fees
- The school tuition is reviewed and determined by the SCA Board of Trustees on an annual basis and to be paid twice a year. A one-time non-refundable registration fee of $15 is required of each new student. Other fees are for textbooks, cassettes, CDs and/or other materials. Tuition and fees are due two weeks before the first day of school.
- Make checks payable to Seattle Chinese Academy. The amount due is listed on the registration form. If more than one member of the same family registers in the same semester, a 10% discount is applied to the tuitions of all weekend programs and applied to the lower rate (Summer Program is not included.). No discount is given to non-tuition related fees, such as registration, books, and material fees. Unless with written permission from the principal, full tuition is required when attending a class.
- Returned checks will be charged for an additional $25 fee.
Refund Policy
- A 100% tuition refund is obtainable for new students who withdraw during the first two weeks of the semester. A 50% tuition refund is obtainable for withdrawal during the 3rd, 4th and 5th weeks. No refund is obtainable after the 5th week. This refund policy applies to both SCA Saturday classes and After-school Program.
- No refund/credit is available for missing classes, except for long vacation and with approval of the Principal.
